Hi friends! It’s been a little while since I’ve posted… something about being nine months pregnant and nesting and having a to-do list a mile long and it being the holiday season! But I wanted to pop on here and wish you guys a (belated) Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
It’s been a tough year for most, and it’s pretty crazy thinking that at this time last year, we had no idea what was in store for us in 2020 and how our lives would be changed. It’s not easy to see past the fear, loneliness, struggles, division, and loss that this world faced this year, but if you look closely, you’ll also see courage, adaptation, resourcefulness, unity, and love. While we can all agree that we’re hoping for a better 2021, this year was one that we’ll never forget. My mom got us matching shirts this year for Christmas that say, “2020, You’ll go down in history,” which couldn’t be more true! I am filled with gratefulness that we’ve made it through this year safely and are almost to the other side.
I’m praying that things look a lot different on the COVID-19 front within the next six months (hopefully sooner!), but I have high hopes for 2021 either way. We’re starting the year positive! It certainly helps that we’re starting off 2021 with our little boy’s due date, but I hope that everyone finds something to look forward to this upcoming year. Let’s make it good. Wishing you all a blessed and safe New Year!
